About Interprofessional Education at Carroll

Mission:
The mission of IPE at Carroll is to support Interprofessional Education across the Carroll University campus to provide service to the community and prepare students to be “collaborative practice-ready” members of their professions.

Objectives:
  • The Interprofessional Education (IPE) Committee will design a standardized IPE framework grounded in the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) competencies to support an interprofessional education curriculum in the Carroll University College of Health Sciences and other applicable University programs.
  • The IPE Committee will facilitate and support Carroll University faculty and programs in developing interprofessional education, didactic, experiential and simulated learning activities.  
  • The IPE Committee will facilitate and support the development of partnerships with local community organizations to collaborate on interprofessional clinical training and patient-centered care, which acknowledges local community needs and health promotion. 
  • The IPE Committee will evaluate Carroll University's interprofessional education programs' effectiveness.
